The Supermicro SYS-6018R-MTR is an affordable 1U server with dual power supplies.

This SuperMicro platform comes in a space-saving Rack (1U) form factor, equipped with eight RAM slots and four 3.5" drive bays supporting SATA or SAS interfaces. For SAS drives, an additional RAID controller is required. The server is powered by two 400W hot-swappable power supplies. It features the Super X10DRL-i motherboard with an Intel C612 chipset and provides the option to add a PCIe card if the slot is not occupied by a RAID controller.

To support E5-2600 v4 processors, BIOS version 2.0 or higher is required.

This server is ideal for various applications, including small office backup servers, Hadoop nodes, and general-purpose office servers. If desired, the processor can be overclocked.

The processor area is covered by an air duct, and there are four fans in front of it. If you plan to install a RAID controller, consider getting a couple more fans for cooling.
