About performance
For HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen10 servers, one or two Intel Scalable family servers are available, with processors with the M marking (1.5 TB per processor) being the best option to ensure full utilization of memory resources with a capacity of 3 TB. Some processor models do not support Turbo Boost and Intel Hyper-Threading modes.
A 500W, 800W, or 1600W PSU has a flexible connector, and redundancy or redundancy depends on the server configuration.
Memory of ML350 Gen10
The HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen10 server is equipped with DDR4 SmartMemory modules, with 12 memory modules per processor (based on 2 modules per 6 memory channels).
To keep the RAM at the level of the maximum allowable amount of 3 TB, it is recommended to use memory modules of the LRDIMM type, the volume of which is 128 GB. If the server uses RDIMM modules (32 GB), then the total amount of RAM will be up to 768 GB, and the speed will be up to 2400 MHz. 2.5" chassis configured to support up to 24 SFF SAS and SATA SSD HDDs or up to 16 SFF SAS and SATA SSD HDDs + 8 SFF NVMe PCIe (two additional drive bays provided).
An optional Express Bay is available for NVMe drives; - 3.5-inch chassis designed to accommodate a total of 12 LFF-format drives (SAS and SATA SSD HDD).
Hard drives are managed using the HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 embedded RAID. The server supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60, ADM/10.
Support for M.2 drives is provided by a universal set of adapter cards, but it is limited to PCIe 1-4 slots, so M.2 only supports software RAID.
The storage system of the presented server also includes two USB 3.0 ports and a microSD card slot.
About extension
Connecting multiple devices to ensure the full working load of the server is carried out through 8 PCIe 3.0 slots. In this case, the slots are distributed as follows - support for PCIe slots 1-4 is provided by the first processor, and slots 1 and 3 can be equipped with additional graphics processors. Once a second processor is installed, PCIe slots 5-8 become active and support for additional GPUs (up to four double-wide modules) becomes possible.
